When Kenneth Lonergan's "Margaret" was quietly released last September, it seemed the end of a very, very long journey for a film caught up for years in post-production problems and various legal disputes. Although very few people saw the movie during its brief theatrical run, a vocal group of critics began to lobby on its behalf -- the unusual groundswell of support prompted in part by the year-end awards season crush and in part by a desire to simply be able to see a movie that had not played in their towns.

"Margaret" has since been inching its way toward reassessment and in some sense resurrection, to the point where there is now an undercurrent of backlash from those who feel its movie-you-can't-see mystique is too much a part of its appeal.In the film, Anna Paquin plays an Upper East Side teenager named Lisa Cohen -- in one of the movie's signature quirks, "Margaret" has no character named Margaret -- who feels in part responsible for a bus accident that claimed a woman's life. This leads to a portrait, at once nuanced and raw, of dealing with grief and moving forward with life. The film features a deep bench of supporting performances from Matt Damon, Mark Ruffalo, Jean Reno, Allison Janney, J. Smith-Cameron, Matthew Broderick, Kieran Culkin and Jeannie Berlin.

"Margaret" is going to be playing for one week at the Cinefamily in Los Angeles starting Jan. 27, giving local audience another chance to see for themselves whether this most singular film lives up to its legend. Paquin, an Oscar winner and now the star of HBO's "True Blood," rather suddenly made herself available to a few press outlets just this week to talk about the film.

How weird is it to be talking about a film you shot in 2005?

I could not possibly have loved that script or loved doing that movie any more. It was one of the most incredible professional experiences I've ever had, and, you know, movies all have their own path to being seen by people and some of them are long journeys and some are really quick. And this one's just been a bit longer. I'm just pleased that people are watching it now.

When you were shooting the film did you have any idea it would become the problem child it turned into?

No, actually. The shoot was extraordinarily smooth. Everything kind of ran perfectly. It was a sort of long script, so obviously if you shoot all of a very long script there's just going to be a lot more material to play around with when you're trying to put the movie together. Which ultimately, as an actor, is not something that I really worry myself about. That's kind of, thankfully, somebody else's department. I'm just like sweet, I will shoot all one-hundred and sixty, seventy, whatever-it-was pages of incredibly well-written, beautiful scenes with incredible character work.

Did you ever reach a point where you thought the movie would just never come out?
Honestly, my life moved on. I'm doing other things in my career, I'm doing other things in my personal life, a lot's happened in the last six years in my life. I didn't really know what was going to happen, to be honest. It moved from, I think about this every month, to I think about this occasionally.

How many different versions of the film have you seen? How many times do you think you've seen it?

In its entirety? Well, I saw bits and pieces sort of way back when, when post-production first started. I'd come into the edit suite and watch cut scenes and stuff. I've seen various versions at various points. I'm not great about watching myself, so really the only time I really sat down and actually watch-watched was right before the film was going to be releasing over the summer. I hadn't seen the entire thing put together before that.

Look, sometimes the work that's the most gratifying to do as an actor is stuff that's kind of uncomfortable to watch because it's very personal and it's very raw and it's very unselfconscious. And we really kind of went for it. I only end up watching stuff when it's about to open or air or whatever because ultimately I want to know what other people are going to be seeing.

There's a moment early in the film where you switch the word you're saying partway through. It's a real trigger that this movie is going to be different, in that either that's a flub that was left in or the texture of the dialogue is going to be really specific.

Let's put it this way, there is no dialogue in the film that wasn't written the way it is. If there's stuff that sounds like stutters and half-thoughts, that's the way Kenny writes. And he does that in a way that's pretty damn genius, if you ask me. It's the way people speak. You get in the middle of something and your brain sort of switches paths. And if you read his plays it's all that way as well. Every single piece of dialogue corresponds to what the other person is saying, even if it's going too fast to really hear what everyone is saying. He writes like a playwright, the words and punctuation, every comma, is specific.

There are scenes in the film, the classroom discussions about literature or politics or the scenes with Jean Reno as a man Lisa's mother is dating, that to some people feel like unnecessary digressions. For you, what's the purpose of those scenes?

I feel like it's real. I feel like it's a real portrait of a 17-year-old. And you know what's important to 17-year-olds? Their friends and school and the ideas that are just sort of occurring to them for the first time and these incredibly fully held, brand new beliefs that teenagers have about stuff. I think everyone has gone through that. It felt real to me. I think that what is interesting and what I love about that character is she's not really likable all the time. She's going through such trauma and she is kind of buried under this whole pile of guilt and confusion as to why when she tried to make it right there is all this resistance. She's sort of kicking her way to the surface and taking on everyone who stands in her way. She's hitting the self-destruct button but doing it in a really outwardly aggressive way.

I really like how her biggest emotional breakthrough happens in the film while she's screaming at a speakerphone in a lawyer's office. It's a little ridiculous.

Kenny and I have this sort of ongoing joke talking about the bone-crushing reality of our film. But it's not a joke. That is kind of what we were going for -- these moments that to be cinematic are routinely staged differently or choreographed differently, but in real life sometimes you have the most massively emotional, traumatizing, poignant moment screaming into your cell phone at the shopping mall or somewhere inappropriate. Life is not staged for the camera, and that's what he's trying to do with this film.

(People who have not yet seen the film might want to stop reading here. The following question reveals something specific that happens near the conclusion of the movie.)

One scene most anyone who sees the film ends up talking about is when she tells another character late in the film that she had an abortion. Viewers don't know if it's true or not. In your mind, do you think she did?

Yes, she did. We shot the scene. That was in the script. But look, either way, either she's gotten herself into a situation she doesn't see a way out of and she feels the need to get an abortion, in which case that's kind of a pretty big deal, or she's so messed up she's making stuff up and lying to people. And truthfully, either way it doesn't really matter. I think the point is she is just in such a desperate place that she's just kicking as hard as she can to get somebody to pay attention in the way that she wants. Except she's behaving in a way that is not getting the reception she wants. So ultimately I don't think it really matters as far as the final cut of the film whether or not people know for sure whether she's just being confrontational or she actually did. But in reality we shot the scene in a doctor's office. So I know that she did.

When you watched the film was there anything you really felt was missing or truncated in the release version? Since you were there, you know as well as anyone how the film could be different.

I think it's ultimately still, it's our movie. In any movie things get cut, things get shifted around once any director gets in the editing room. That's just how it works. There's always going to be moments where you're like 'I wish that was there.' But that's any film. I also read the like four-hundred-and-eighty-page version of the original screenplay, so if you really want to talk about stuff that's missing, there's a good 300 extra pages it could have used. But that was more like the HBO miniseries version of "Margaret." But I will always be incredibly proud of this movie, and I'm just glad it's coming out in whatever version or length because it was something that everyone who worked on it was incredibly passionate about.

It’s their winter film edition,and it looks like Anna made the cover because her film “Margaret” made their pick as best film of the 2011 year. In it, Anna played character Lisa Cohen.Anna’s photo was taken by photographer Kevin Scanlon. Actually, the Margaret film was shot way back n 2005,well before True Blood hit the airwaves. Unfortunately, the flick didn’t release into theaters until 2011, because it had a ton of post-production problems and crazy lawsuits.

They finally made it through all that to get it out in September 2011,only to see it quickly go straight to DVD. It’s a coming-of-age tale infused with post-9/11 anxiety, Paquin also got the female performance of the year in it, according to 95 critics who participated in LA Weekly’s annual Critics’ Poll.

As for True Blood,it’s currently filming season 5,and,hopefully, some more spoilers and photos will pop up,soon.

Margaret Starring Anna Paquin, the Best Film of 2011, Gets a Run at Cinefamily

Remember Margaret? The Anna Paquin-starring drama was written in 2003, shot in 2005 and then given only a token release last September: on screen for just two weeks, with almost no marketing or promotion. After that, it was virtually impossible to see.

The good news is, you soon will be able to see it. Just three weeks after L.A. Weekly named Margaret the best film of 2011, Cinefamily has booked it for a one-week run beginning Jan. 27. Meanwhile, this week Variety published on its front page director Kenneth Lonergan's second interview ever about the movie, and Margaret star (and L.A. Weekly cover girl) Paquin suddenly was made available for select interviews on behalf of the film.In light of the timing -- Oscar nomination ballots are due by 5 p.m. on Fri., Jan. 13 -- one could assume distributor Fox Searchlight is flipping its script and now making a last-minute campaign for recognition for a film it previously seemed indifferent to.

Lonergan's ambitious, contentious film was the victim of a protracted post-production and ongoing legal battles. (Even Lonergan's recent Variety interview was carefully worded and monitored by his lawyer.) As we reported in our Winter Film Issue, critics had been forced to petition Fox Searchlight to send out screeners of the movie so that it could be considered for year-end awards and top 10 lists -- essentially, to treat it like every single other movie the distributor released in the second half of the year.

Just before the Weekly's Winter Film Issue went to press, we learned that Margaret had been booked to run for at least a week at New York's Cinema Village. But later it emerged that, while Searchlight made a print available to that independently run art house, the engagement was not initiated by the studio.

Instead, the booker of the theater, Ed Arentz, told Indiewire blogger Anthony Kaufman that he approached the studio about playing the film. "I booked it because I missed it, and figured there were plenty like me that wanted to see it." He wasn't wrong -- Margaret is going into its fourth weekend at the Cinema Village, making its ongoing second run twice the length of its first.

Cinefamily director Hadrian Belove was another of the many who missed the film in that first run and wanted to see it. And as #TeamMargaret fervor swelled online, patrons of his nonprofit theater, which has a history of giving unfairly under-seen movies a second chance, were begging him to book it. So, like Arentz, Belove approached Fox Searchlight and made it happen.

Reached by phone, a Fox Searchlight publicist said the studio would not comment on its marketing strategy. At the same time, though, the publicist denied said strategy had changed. In other words, the studio has remained passive as movie theaters have sought to book the movie, and as Paquin has been pursuing press opportunities on her own.
However, the publicist did confirm that the distributor sent screeners of Margaret to every member of the Academy -- which, considering the movie's scarce availability up to this point, seems like a huge breakthrough.

Eric Northam (Alexander Skarsgård) has now laid down the law and revealed to us how serious he feels about Sookie Stackhouse (Anna Paquin). One of the very few ways you can control a vampire (uninviting them from your home) has now been taken out of Sookie’s hands. Eric is able to come and go as he pleases to visit Sookie in her house, or should I say his house.

We are finally seeing the other side of Eric. In the first season, I never would have guessed that Eric would eventually have feelings for a human, but that has all changed. What more will Eric reveal this season? Has he changed for good?

Jason Stackhouse (Ryan Kwanten), who came to trust and love the locals of Hotshot, has been deceived. He reunites with were-panthers Crystal Norris (Lindsay Pulsipher) and Felton Norris (James Harvey Ward), who both come up with an idea to make Jason a true cititzen of Hotshot. Ouch!

“Long live the king.”

Bill Compton (Stephen Moyer) is no longer the vampire we came to know and love. After the sudden death of Sophie-Anne Leclerq (Evan Rachel Wood), Bill has now taken her place as the regal head of Louisiana. After a short visit with his majesty, Sookie realizes that the vampire she once loved is gone and has moved on to the dark side. Has the old Bill hit the road for good? Is there any chance for Bill and Sookie to be together again?

In other Bon Temps news…

Arlene Fowler (Carrie Preston) still thinks she has a killer baby on her hands, while Sam Merlotte (Sam Trammell) makes minor amends with his brother, Tommy Mickens (Marshall Allman), and finds a love interest in Luna (Janina Gavankar). Hoyt Fortenberry (Jim Parrack) and Jessica Hamby (Deborah Ann Woll) are on the brink of calling it quits. Tara Thornton (Rutina Wesley), newly arrived from New Orleans, heads with her cousin, Lafayette Reynolds (Nelsan Ellis), and Jesus Velasquez (Kevin Alejandro) to the witch’s coven overseen by Marnie (Fiona Shaw). But the vampires have a real problem with any witches in the area trying to control the dead.

It looks like a showdown between Marnie and the vamps is imminent, and Bon Temps continues to bubble over with violence, lust and blood. “I want to to bad things with you.”

Anna Paquin would get "bored" if she played traditional female characters.

The actress is Sookie Stackhouse in American vampire TV show True Blood. While Sookie is sweet she's also tough, which is why Paquin was drawn to the role.

"Truthfully, I get bored. It's fun that Sookie gets to be super-cute while she's kicking ass," Paquin explained.

"It's cute in a kind of very traditional, obvious way - the dresses, boobs and whole blonde thing - but people don't tend to cast me as a bimbo. I've tried but it just doesn't seem to come my way!"Paquin's husband Stephen Moyer also appears in True Blood, playing vampire Bill Compton. The pair have some romantic scenes, but neither finds them strange.

Paquin is just glad they have enough chemistry to make them believable.

"Chemistry is just one of those elusive things. It doesn't mean everyone's gonna jump in bed with everyone," she told Look magazine.

"It's not even specifically about sexual chemistry. It's just, is there a spark when you work with that person? Does it feel like there's a connection? Does it feel like they're really coming alive? It has always been really, really easy to work with him."

Paquin also says she likes exercise which makes her feel like she wants to die.

She has to wear a variety of barely-there outfits for her True Blood role, so makes sure she's always in shape.

Paquin exercises hard and wants people to know her svelte figure doesn't come easily.

"Everything!" she replied when asked what she does to stay in shape.

"I like it if it's really gruelling and in the middle I feel like I really want to die! I like a challenge. One of the things I like to do is box it's possibly better than therapy. A lot of times for women there's not an opportunity to have a physical outlet for our feelings, because we're taught not to be aggressive."

Paquin gets annoyed when she reads other celebrities saying they don't exercise and eat whatever they like. She doesn't think it's honest or fair on fans.

"I work out like a maniac and I spray tan a lot. Genetics were kind, but I work very hard," she told the magazine.

Remember all the posters HBO put out for True Blood? The really simple ones, with plain backgrounds that only had some text? They were pretty clever in my opinion, but HBO has finally put their best ads yet for the upcoming season. That’s right, I’m talking about posters with attractive actors and actresses.

The new tag line for the posters is “Show Your True Colors.” Each of the three posters corresponds to one of three colors; red, white and black. Each of the actor/actresses in a poster is wearing the same color clothes as their poster. It’s pretty. Clearly there’s going to be some splitting off with very clear groups forming, at least that’s what I’m getting from these.

The meaning behind who is on which poster could be anything. In the red we have Sookie (Anna Paquin), Bill (Stephen Moyer), Eric (Alexander Skarsgard), and Alcide (Joe Manganiello). In the black we have Jason (Ryan Kwanten) along with Pam (Kristen Bauer van Straten) and Jessica (Deborah Ann Woll). And finally the white poster has Lafayette (Nelsan Ellis), Tara (Rutina Wesley), and Sam (Sam Trammell).As per usual, I’d like the real True Blood fans to speak out what they think about these new posters, if there’s any meaning to them or maybe they’re just trying to stir up excitement in anyway possible. Hot New 'True Blood' Posters Have Us Really Freakin' Jealous Of Anna Paquin

Full disclosure here: I'm as rabid a "True Blood" fan as any, but when it comes to all the preview teasers and TV spots, I tend to avoid them like the plague. Not because I'm not excited to see everything, of course, but because a) sometimes they hint at things to come that I don't want to see yet and b) they make the wait for the season premiere that much more difficult!

Anyway, that point is moot now, because when HBO sent us three new posters today (all around the theme "Show Your True Colors"), I caved and looked at them. And I'm almost sorry I did because of how antsy I now am for the premiere! Almost.Photo one is hot, literally. The color scheme is fiery red and features so much delicious man candy, it has me really annoyed and envious of one Sookie Stackhouse (Anna Paquin). She's sitting coyly in the midst of Eric Northman (Alexander Skarsgård), Bill Compton (Stephen Moyer) and my personal favorite, Alcide Herveaux (Joe Manganiello), all of whom have their hands on her! Looks like we're in for some vamp vs. vamp vs. wolf action there..

Looks like Ryan had a few action scenes because you can see him in character as Jason Stackhouse on the ground running away from something. Not a bad view from behind!

Anna Paquin thinks it’s “nauseating” that she misses her husband so much in his absence.

The Canadian-born actress is best known for her role as Sookie Stackhouse in the HBO series True Blood, for which she has won a Golden Globe Award for best actress.

The 28-year-old is married to her co-star Stephen Moyer, but insists that working together and being involved romantically doesn’t bother her.

"No. I miss him when he leaves,” she said, when asked if working and living together is sometimes too much. “That's nauseating, I know. My me-time requirements are quite small.”

The blonde beauty dedicates time to her fitness routine. Anna’s character Sookie favours tiny white shorts in the television drama, and the fear of not looking her best in the unforgiving attire spurs her on to maintain her gorgeous physique.
"If you're going to be spending literally every single day of your working life wearing clothes that barely cover your body, you're gonna be extra-diligent," she confessed in an interview with Health magazine. "There's just a little extra motivation of, 'Hmmm, teeny white shorts and a bikini top? I think I will go to Pilates this morning.'"

Anna insists her “nuts” family keep her down to earth. Despite working in a non-conventional industry at such a young age – Anna won an Oscar at the age of 11 for her appearance in The Piano - her feet were kept on the ground.

"I have a really, really, really normal family. And by normal I mean we're all nuts on some level. I think you've gotta be a little nuts to pursue any kind of creative job. I was also a really good kid," she explained.

The actress also revealed she is a fan of another television series. Anna is in awe of American screenwriter and producer Aaron Sorkin whose work includes serial drama The West Wing.

"I re-watch - and when I say the entire series, I literally mean the entire series of - The West Wing every year. I'm sort of secretly stalking Aaron Sorkin. I'm obsessed with his work. I think he's a genius,” she revealed.

I haven’t even told you much about this film and from the title, you can already tell the odds are against this film being worthwhile.

First, it stars Brendan Fraser, and even though he seems like one of the nicest guys around, the guy has starred in some of the worst movies to ever hit the big screen.

Second, the film has “3D” in the title. If recent history has shown us anything, any movie that has “3D” in the actual title is sure to be a gimmick-filled movie. But anyway, the news here is that Brendan Fraser is going to be playing the legendary hero William Tell in the new film WILLIAM TELL: 3D.

If everything goes as planned, Anna Paquin will play his wife and Til Schweiger will play Tell’s nemesis Gessler. As a recap of the legend of William Tell, here’s the official synopsis from the press release:In the legend, Tell just can’t leave well enough alone. The local potentate of the Hapsburg monarch, Hermann Gessler forces Tell to shoot the apple because he refused to bow before Gessler’s hat, erected in a town square.

Tell succeeds in cleanly (and safely) cleaving the fruit and wins his and his son’s freedom. But Gessler asks Tell why he had two arrows is his quiver, and Tell replies he was going to shoot Gessler with the second if he’d missed. Tell’s defiance of Gessler ignited an uprising against the Austrian government which led to the formation of Switzerland. If confirmed, Paquin will play Zora, Tell’s wife and Schweiger will play Gessler.

We loved the one-shoulder look, as well as the surprisingly revealing back. Our only gripe? The hair! We liked it loose, but a little frizz control never hurts. "Twilight" costar Nikki Reed also donned a one-shoulder frock, but hers failed to inspire. Nikki's LBD was unoriginal and ill-fitting (the waist-line for the skirt needed to be lower).

Unfortunately, costar Jackson Rathbone didn't fare much better with his attire. This sour spin on "My Best Friend's Wedding" (crossed with a pale dose of "The Big Chill") proves unsatisfying not only because of its unlikable characters and often contrived conflicts but for the thoroughly implausible bride and groom at its core. Looks like Open House, a horror movie that features Anna Paquin and Stephen Moyer and is about a real estate venture gone terribly wrong, will be coming soon to a theater near you. (Variety reported earlier today that LionsGate division Grindstone Entertainment has picked up all domestic distribution rights.) Despite their presence in the trailer (and every news release regarding Open House), the True Blood costars (and real-life couple) don’t seem to have very big parts in the flick, which was directed by Anna’s brother Andrew Paquin. (See trailer embedded after the jump.)Subtle, right? I’m pretty sure I’ll be skipping this one, despite that crazy shot of Battlestar Galactica‘s Tricia Helfer plunging the dagger into Moyer’s neck/shoulder in what plays like a more aggro version of a hungry vamp’s “kiss” on True Blood. Coincidence? Doubtful.

This was the season True Blood not only took off as a TV series that found the perfect balance between terror and comedy, satire and adventure, romance and S&M, but also became a pop culture sensation, probably HBO's biggest phenomenon since The Sopranos. Sookie (Anna Paquin) and Bill (Stephen Moyer) contend with the supernatural shenanigans of Maryann (the marvelous Michelle Forbes); Jason (Ryan Kwanten) joins and rips through a religious sect; and Lafayette (Nelsan Ellis) goes through hell. Watching it all one disc after another is better, in my humble opinion, than reading a slew of Charlaine Harris' novels. Not so good are the EXTRAS, which offer a paucity of episode commentaries (only one includes series creator Alan Ball), none of them especially illuminating, and a couple of so-so comic features on vampire life. But seeing the saga on DVD will leave you thirsty for the new season in June.

It has just been announced that Tony Award-winning actor Denis O'Hare is to become the newest member of the cast of HBO's monster hit, TRUE BLOOD, alongside theater vets Anna Paquin, Sam Trammell and Anna Camp.

O'Hare won a Tony Award for Best Performance by a Featured Actor in a Play for his performance in Richard Greenberg's Take Me Out. He also won the 2005 Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Featured Actor in a Musical for his role as Oscar Lindquist in the Broadway revival of Sweet Charity. In 2004 he played Charles J. Guiteau in the Broadway production of Stephen Sondheim's Assassins, for which he was nominated for the Best Performance by a Featured Actor in a Musical Tony Award. He lost to co-star Michael Cerveris who played John Wilkes Booth. Before appearing in those shows, he appeared on Broadway in the 1998 revival of Cabaret, in which he played Ernst Ludwig onstage and the clarinet in the show's orchestra, the "Kit Kat Band." O'Hare was featured in the HallMark Hall of Fame presentation of Saint Maybe. He has appeared as a guest star on several episodes of Law & Order and its spin-offs, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit and Law & Order: Criminal Intent. In 2008, he has appeared as a guest star on several episodes of Brothers & Sisters. “True Blood,” HBO’s newest and very successful vampire series, continues to break ratings record after ratings record with each new episode, as we were also telling you the other day. One of the things that make the show so hot with audiences is former teen star, now established actress, Anna Paquin. In the latest issue of Us Magazine, Paquin reveals the secrets to her enviable shape, so that other women can also follow her lead.

Paquin has managed to make the transition from child star to hot vamp very gracefully, but it’s not all thanks to her good genes. The actress, who recently got engaged to co-star Stephen Moyer, keeps in such enviable shape by constantly mixing up her routine so that she never gets bored with it and she’s working different muscles at all times. “I’m obsessed with Pilates,” the actress tells the mag, while revealing she hates having to do just this routine for her fitness.

Paquin also loves to swim in the ocean as a means of staying active, and she has started taking surf lessons just recently. However, her exercise routine does not stop here, since she’s always careful to move around as much as possible, even when she’s not working out. Moreover, Anna is an avid watcher of gymnastics on TV and has even tried the trapeze on her own. “I’ve always wanted to be a circus performer, so I took aerial silks classes at Trapeze School New York a few years ago.” the actress says for the aforementioned publication. She wouldn’t share, though, if she still practices it to stay in shape.

As for her diet, Paquin explains that she tries to steer clear of unhealthy foods and unhealthy habits in general. She hates diets and couldn’t stand being on one with all the restrictions, but she generally does not like foods that she knows are bad for her. Another important thing for the actress is the amount of rest she gets, so she naps a lot in order to have the energy to make it through the day. “Kombucha and coffee are my two biggest vices.” the 27-year-old actress admits.

With such a strong will and so little vices to deal with, not to mention Paquin’s willingness to show her body for the camera if really necessary, perhaps it’s really no wonder “True Blood” is pulling 5+ million viewers each week.

Ryan Kwanten has claimed that True Blood co-star Anna Paquin has had to shoot more nude scenes than him on the show this year.

The 32-year-old, who plays Jason Stackhouse on the HBO vampire series, spoke out about filming the programme in an interview with GQ, Extra reports.

He said: "I led the way in the sexual shenanigans department in the first season. But this season, Anna Paquin (Sookie Stackhouse) is far more naked than I am."

Representatives for both actors have confirmed the engagement to People magazine.

The pregnancy rumor mill went into overdrive after the True Blood star was spotted wearing a baggy dress in Beverly Hills Wednesday.

But Paquin’s rep insists the star is “not pregnant.”

Anna, 27, recently became engaged to her True Blood costar Stephen Moyer.

Moyer, 39, from Essex, England, has two young children from a previous relationship. He divides his time between the home he shares with Paquin in L.A. and his home in the UK.

The Oscar-winning actress had to wear very little when filming hit TV show True Blood in the heat of America's Deep South and while she was worried at first, she now enjoys flashing the flesh.

She told Self magazine: "After I was cast and I realised my body would be exposed all the time, I went out and bought some shorts - I owned none - to help me get used to it.

"You stop thinking, Do I look weird at this angle? I've learned to feel comfortable wearing very little. It's liberating!"

Don't get us wrong, Twilight is our one true love when it comes to those deliciously fanged types. But when we want to get our more scandalous Nikki Reed side going, we turn to vampire porn True Blood. The gothic HBO show has a bunch of things Summit wouldn't dare let its presh kids partake in (onscreen anyway!): kinky sex (complete with actual nudity), blood-drenched violence and a public relationship between the main stars!

We sure wouldn't kick Stephen Moyer away if he tried to bite us, but S.M. and his real-life lover, Anna Paquin, are certainly no Robsten—they don't even have a fun couple nickname! (PaqMo? So not sexy!) The costar sweeties realized the chemistry was there from their very first audition together—how familiar!—but waited two years to announce they were an item. Is that how long we'll have to wait for Robsten to follow suit?

Quite possibly. Until the entire Twilight franchise is pumped out, we're told Rob and Kristen will still be babysat big-time. As we've explained over and over for those who keep asking why Robsten is a bad thing to studio execs, the likelihood that two young, delectable stars are going to be together forevah and keep their pants zipped up for everyone else is slim to none. Anna Paquin Ponders ‘X-Men: First Class’ Return — If She Gets An Action Scene!

If there’s one thing that “X-Men Origins: Wolverine” proved to Hollywood, its that Marvel’s mutants are still relevant and in high demand. No wonder, then, that “Wolverine” set up several new spin-off properties such as “X-Men: First Class,” a film focusing on the younger generation of Charles Xavier’s mutant trainees.

Whereas “Wolverine” featured a reprisal from actor Hugh Jackman, it’s less clear if any previous “X-Men” alums will rear their heads in “First Class.” But Anna Paquin, who played Rogue in the first three “X-Men” films, told IGN that she would love to get back in character for the spin-off — as long as she could enjoy some of the action this time.

“I would hope I could do a little bit more action next time,” the actress said. “I kind of find it ironic that I did three big action films and did, actually, no action whatsoever. I mean I got some really amazing emotional story moments, but I didn’t really get to do the physical stuff.”

Paquin is currently starring in the vampire drama “True Blood” for HBO, in which she plays the telepathic Sookie Stackhouse. The actress points to that role as evidence that she’s ready for more action.

“You know, as much as I loved doing those films I was kind of like, ‘Okay, so when do I get to beat someone up? When do I get to steal some powers?’” Paquin declared. “You know Sookie gets to do more action than Rogue ever did. So I’m just putting that out there. More action please, for next time.”

While Paquin seems willing to return to the “X-Men” franchise, it remains to be seen whether or not the franchise is ready to return to her. Producer Lauren Shuler Donner has said that “First Class” will focus on the yesteryear exploits of young Cyclops, Jean Grey and Beast, leaving Rogue’s potential involvement in the project a tad murky.

But even if “First Class” doesn’t have room for Rogue, there are still “X-Men” actors that would love to play opposite her — namely Taylor Kitsch, who portrayed Gambit in “X-Men Origins: Wolverine” and recently expressed his desire to work with Paquin.

Actor Stephen Moyer walks in, a bit perplexed about why she wants him to open his mouth to a room of strangers. Then she giggles and asks him again to bare his fangs.

And he does.

"See," she says, smiling.

"He does have them."

As the star of the TV vampire drama True Blood, Anna Paquin thinks her co-star's pointy real-life canine teeth are cool. They are long and sharp like a vampire's would be. Strangers might find them a bit disconcerting, especially since Moyer plays a vampire on True Blood.

It's part of Paquin's charm to flirt. She can be playful and silly but rarely inappropriate or shameless.

She still loves to talk about acting, with the same vigour of a young artist although she's played the Hollywood game more than half her life. Despite her world travels, she still comes across as a bit of an innocent.

At 26, Anna Paquin's no longer the little girl audiences discovered in 1993's The Piano, for which she won an Academy Award for best actress in a supporting role. After a few high-profile period pieces and a big movie franchise (Rogue in the X-Men movies), she's grown up. Unlike many actresses who had careers as children, Paquin doesn't feel a need to declare to the world she's an adult.
